Supreme Throne-holder of
Kathok Nyingma Tradition

In 1990, as a result of unanimous requests and agreement from all the Holders of Dharma Seats in the Kathok Lineage, H.H. Lhoga Rinpoche was officially enthroned as the 84th supreme Throne-holder of the Kathok Nyingma Dorje Den Monastery.

With limitless compassion and unobstructed wisdom, His Holiness through realisations of the Dharma and personal experiential attainments, caused the Teachings of Lord Shakyamuni Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava (see right) to pervade throughout the world.

His Holiness's compassion widely attracts and benefits mother sentient beings similar to the sun in space that shines impartially to all.

It is fervently hoped that they would continue to turn the Wheel of Dharma tirelessly and earnestly in order to spread the Dharma in the world for the benefit of all.

The Golden Thread-like Lineage of the Kathok Nyingma

In June 1997, the complete set of the uncommon Lineage Teachings of Kathok Duddul And Longsar were completely bestowed upon the reincarnated tulkus of the Kathok Tradition at the retreat centre of H.H. Mocha Rinpoche, the great accomplished master of the Nyingma Tradition.

Mocha Rinpoche gave the initiations while H.H. Lhoga Rinpoche bestowed the oral-transmissions. Those present at this great event include:

His Holiness vowed that in each and every of His incarnation, He would uninterruptedly utilize the swiftest and most reliable method to enable mother sentient beings to be able to abandon sufferings, to attain happiness and to attain the state of Ultimate Enlightenment. His Holiness fulfills this vow through His vast and unlimited great Dharma activity. It is like a diamond on which the bright rays of the sun has been shone upon and whose brilliant rays were subsequently reflected throughout all directions.

In this time of the 5 degenerations, when defilements arise in great multitudes and when disasters and unnatural events culminate, this light is continuing to dispel and remove our inner darkness, negative karma and propensities that have existed since the beginning of time. Through the Light, we can then spontaneously realise the preciousness of the illuminating, clear and serene joy of the Dharma. This Light can lead us to freedom from the outer and inner Cyclic Existence (Samsara), giving us the full confidence to travel the Path to Buddhahood.

His Holiness, being that Light for the world, makes our contemplation of Him similar to that of the contemplation of all the Buddhas.

His Holiness is, indeed, as prophesied – a Light for the World.
